A contemporary city hotel concept designed in 2018 for Kalamata, envisioned as a landmark hospitality destination within one of the city’s emerging urban areas. The project was conceived as a signature building, combining expressive contemporary architecture with a strong focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and the evolving identity of the modern Greek city.
The design introduces fluid architectural lines, generous open spaces, and a carefully choreographed relationship between public, semi-public, and private zones. Reception, restaurant, wellness facilities, pool areas, and guest rooms were organized to create a seamless hospitality experience centered on comfort, orientation, and social interaction.
Designed according to “Design for All” principles, the hotel aimed to provide a welcoming and barrier-free environment for all users, integrating accessibility into the architectural language rather than treating it as an addition.
Although the project was never realized, it remains an important exploration of contemporary urban hospitality architecture and a strong example of our vision for inclusive, experience-driven design in Kalamata.
